In honour of International Mother Language Day, JCI Dhaka West, a local concern of JCI Bangladesh, organised a painting competition called Battle of Brush.
The preliminary round took place in the respective premises of more than 45 different participating schools across the city. The grand finale took place on February 28 at Midas Convention Centre.
The program is aimed at building a more active, innovative and aware future generation for our country. To motivate and inspire the participants, Waqar Chowdhury, former National President of JCI Bangladesh, was present as the Chief Guest along with special guests Ahmed Ashfaqur Rahman, JCI Bangladesh National President, Shakawat Hossain Mamun, former Immediate National President of JCI Bangladesh and Founder of Autism Welfare Foundation, Dr Rownak Hafiz. The local president of JCI Dhaka West, Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan and the Executive Vice-President of JCI Dhaka West, Mehedi Hossain, were also present along with other members of JCI Dhaka West and JCI Bangladesh.
A lucrative amount of prize money was awarded along with gifts from Tupperware Bangladesh, Berger Paints Ltd and PuzzleFun. Moreover, 50 best artworks will be exhibited at various art galleries and the money collected will be invested in educating students with special abilities in order to fulfill their vision of creating awareness regarding equal opportunity for disabled and underprivileged children.
The title sponsor for the event was Berger Paints Ltd, supporting partner was Unmad, grooming partner was Cartoon People, merchandising partner was Onnorkom Bigganbaksho, gift partner was Ousud.com, volunteer partner was Esperer Bangladesh and the media partners were Jamuna TV and Radio Next.
JCI is a membership-based nonprofit organisation of young and proactive citizens between the age group of 18 to 40 who dedicate themselves to create positive change in their communities.
