On September 27, senior officials from Apex Footwear Limited visited SOS Children’s Village in Dhaka and handed over a cheque as part of their “SPRINT: to share” project. As promised, Apex donates 10% of their sale of each pair of shoes, under the banner “SPRINT: to share,” to charity. SOS Children’s Village is run by SOS Children’s Villages International which pioneered the long-term care of orphaned and abandoned children. Rajan Pillai, Chief Operating Officer of Apex Footwear Limited handed over the cheque to Ghulam Ahmed Ishaque, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh. Also present at the occasion was Saiful Amin, Project Director of SOS and Zoheb Ahmed, Head of Marketing of Apex.
On September 22, officials from Apex visited the Art of living Happiness School run by the Art of Living Foundation. To help promote this unique initiative Apex donated shoes to the underprivileged children studying at the school. The school was established by famous humanitarian leader and ambassador of peace, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, for the underprivileged children in Dhaka. Rajan Pillai, Chief Operating Officer and Zoheb Ahmed, Head of Marketing from Apex Footwear Limited, along with Sajeev Menon, Country Coordinator of Art of Living Bangladesh, were both present at the occasion.
