Rock on

With tickets having been sold out weeks before the actual event, RockNation: Resurrection finally took place on September 18, at Gulnoksha, Bashundhara Convention City. The annual event returned with, as the saying goes, a blast. Some of the most relevant rock acts of our time were featured this time. Aurthohin, Artcell, Nemesis, Arbovirus and Owned were among a few that took the stage by storm. The efforts of Arbovirus stood out – their live performance, like always, was strong and enthralling. The audience was a fun and cooperative. Unlike the usual norms of our country, not a single brawl broke out in a place of such massive gathering. This was commendable on the part of the organizers, LiveSquare.
One of the major bands of Bangladesh, Cryptic Fate, was unfortunately not able to attend because the band members have day jobs. Regardless, the show went on with close to no drawbacks. There were stalls right outside the venue selling official merchandise like bags and t-shirts. The food and beverage stalls were a nice touch and extremely thoughtful on the part of LiveSquare. All in all, RockNation once again proved that it is possible to have a near-perfect rock experience here in Dhaka.
