In 2009, Shahrina Haque embarked on her entrepreneurial journey by launching her clothing brand, Shahrina’s, from her own home. She has diligently managed her showroom and factory since 2012, ensuring quality control while maintaining the essence of her personal touch in all her work. 

Specialising in traditional fusion outfits,  the brand reflects her personality and personal style. It is a testament to her sophisticated and elegant taste, as she handpicks high-quality materials from local and international sources. Drawing inspiration from her love for fashion, the brand’s success story is rooted in her entrepreneurial spirit and innate creativity.

Shahrina ensures that during the garment development process, the brand focuses on understanding its target customers’ preferences and the specific occasions for which the attires will be worn. This understanding allows for the creation of a wide range of products, ensuring customers can choose items tailored to their unique needs. “Our product line spans various categories, such as office attire, everyday outfits, casual wear, semi-formal, formal, and special occasion garments for events like weddings,” says Shahrina. “By embracing innovation in both traditional and fusion styles, we strive to meet the diverse preferences of our customers.”

She further adds, “Fashion evolves over time, and that is its nature. When we first started out, we focused on exclusive special occasion outfits featuring fusion cuts and styles. Gradually, customers began shifting their preferences toward casual items. Soon after, they started seeking customised outfits, and we have always prioritised putting the customer first.”

As the number of female entrepreneurs grew in Bangladesh over the years, the fashion industry evolved not only in terms of style but also in terms of competition. Amidst it all, Shahrina’s, as a brand, consistently stayed ahead with new ideas, gaining significant global exposure.

“We have always maintained our reputation for unique designs, specialised karigars, customised tailoring, and fine materials, all while never overlooking our after-sales services. We have navigated various challenges by believing in personal connections with customers to build trust and comfort,” shares Shahrina.

With a deep understanding of the challenges women face in balancing family and career, Shahrina has personally guided many friends and relatives in launching their own boutiques, inspiring them to become successful businesswomen. Drawing from her own experiences, she emphasises the importance of perseverance and achieving financial stability. Her message to aspiring female entrepreneurs is to relentlessly pursue their dreams, as no one can achieve them on their behalf.

As a seasoned designer and entrepreneur with 15 years in the industry, Shahrina has developed a profound connection with her customers, enabling her to create exclusive and stylish garments that reflect their distinct personalities.
