Can Roma be the new comeback kings?

Liverpool ran riot in the first leg of the semi final of the Champions League in Anfield. The Reds battered Roma, taking a 5-goal lead by the 70th minute in what seems to be a certain win, right? Not necessarily. Roma actually scored two late goals (two crucial late goals, in fact) to give their Champions League campaign some hope.

A gesture of respect as Mohamed Salah refused to celebrate scoring against his former club

And if there’s something the Romans have shown us this year, it’s the fact that they can orchestrate amazing comebacks. They simply stunned Barcelona in the Stadio Olimpico (where they are yet to concede a goal in the Champions League by the way) with goals from Edin Dezko, Daniele De Rossi and a late strike from Kostas Manolas causing one of the best Champions League comebacks in recent years. But lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice and surely it is going to be a difficult task for Roma. One thing is for certain though, it will be a tantalizing affair. Can there be a second miracle in Rome or will the Reds march on to the finals?
