It’s Bobita’s birthday today! The prominent Bangladeshi actress celebrates her birthday today with her son Anik in Canada. The actress has been the peoples favorite and maintained a strong presence on-screen from 1970’s to 1990’s.
The actress was wished on the phone by her sisters Suchanda and Champa and will be returning to Bangladesh in the first week of August. Bobita has worked on numerous films of which the most noteworthy are: ‘ShukheThako’, ‘Manusher Mon’, ‘NoyonMoni’ and ‘Anarkoli’ to name a few.
The actor has also made her mark internationally by taking part in movies which were joint ventures between Bangladesh-India and Bangladesh-Pakistan. However, her most remarkable performance would have to be Satyajit Ray’s movie, ‘AshaniSanket’. This critically acclaimed movie also stared the legendary Indian actor Soumitra Chatterjee.
